After all, the workflow for a given entity impacts the overall change in workflow, as well as employee performance and behavior. Implementing HIE may result in new or improved existing workflows. There may be inefficiencies in health information in different areas within the healthcare organization. The implementation of HIE may improve these inefficiencies or change practices and policies.
